How can I make a difference?

That’s Peter Burgess, aka The Freezing Father holding Elan. Peter had the very sad task of doing two things: explaining to our seven-year-old son Ben that his little sister Elan wouldn’t be coming home. As if that wasn’t difficult enough, Peter and I looked deep into each other’s eyes for a long moment before we each gave the nod to the respiratory therapist to turn off the ventilator which had been breathing for Elan for three days. 

If you ask Peter why he’s freezing to fundraise for the Stollery he will tell you about our kids, our family and what the desperation and hopelessness can do to a person.
